The deep golden-brown surfaces appear faintly microporous throughout under low magnification. A loupe also reveals cakey detritus on both sides, with a patch of faint scratches in the field near Liberty's profile. One of 35,334 "Little Half Sisters" coined during the first year of U.S. Mint operations, and the only date of the Flowing Hair half cent style, 1793 to 1797, with a portrait of Liberty that faces to the coin's dexter side (viewer's left).Finer to the naked eye than our description implies, and a coin that should be seen to be appreciated.
