Lot Description
1793 Liberty Cap Half Cent. Head Left. C-1. Rarity-3+. Poor-1 (PCGS). The obverse has the entire head and cap of Liberty outlined with traces of the date below that can just be made out with a loupe. Minor surface roughness but reasonably smooth for this all important early copper coin. The reverse is mostly smooth with hints of the wreath and legends in areas. Shallow hairlines on both sides. All important as the first year of the denomination, single year type coin and immensely popular with collectors.
