1853 $1 Liberty Octagonal 1 Dollar, BG-531, R.4, AU58 PCGS. An original and well struck green-gold representative, attractive despite a V-shaped mark near the lower right portion of the portrait. A popular Period One octagonal dollar variety that must have passed in circulation, since PCGS has certified 54 pieces in grades of less than MS60. Encased in a green label holder.
