1806 Draped Bust Half Cent. C-4. Rarity-1. Manley Die State 2.0. Large 6, Stems. MS-63 RB (NGC). Attractive for the significant amount of original mint red still adhering which shows the expected mellowing from 205 years of even careful storage. Sharply struck in general save for the ES of STATES which is always found shallow, and handling marks are minor. A hoard of approximately 200 of these were found a century ago and distributed by Henry Chapman, otherwise mint state examples would be prohibitively rare from this era.
