Uniform microporosity present on deep rose-brown surfaces. All design details present and accounted for if somewhat weak in places. Designed by Joseph Wright and easily the finest of all the 1793 cent design types as far as beauty and workmanship goes -- Wright died in the summer of 1793 during one of the Yellow Fever scourges that attacked Philadelphia on an annual basis. Had he lived, our early American coinage designs would have been much different. A rare type that is eagerly sought in all grades by collectors of every budget persuasion. The present piece is a more than suitable filler example of the type.
