Original surfaces are awash in a blend of copper-brown and sandy-orange colors, the latter representing faded remnants of the luster. Generally quite smooth for the grade, we note only faint carbon flecks on the obverse that are not readily evident at all angles. The rarest business strike Indian Cent, the 1877 is an important find in all Mint State grades.
