A stunning example for the date specialist that is tied with two others at PCGS at this lofty grade level, and excelled by none. The strike is bold particularly on the reverse which shows sharply chiseled lettering, the obverse is also sharp but not quite to this degree. No specks or spots, and the luster is undiminished save for a delicate hint of rose toning. NGC has graded only this coin as MS-67 of the date and mint, with none finer of course. Incredible Registry Set quality like this always commands a worthy premium as collectors seek to build the finest sets imaginable. Here is a unique opportunity for the NGC collector to put away a stunning example of the maximum grade achieved for the 1915-D Buffalo nickel.
