Warmly patinated in a mostly autumn-orange hue, the obverse does reveal crescents of more subtle red, pink and sea green iridescence as the coin dips into a light. The equally smooth, well mirrored reverse reveals lighter silver and pale gold iridescence that is most vivid when observed with the aid of a direct light. An undeniably original Superb Gem that is sure to appeal to the Jefferson nickel toning enthusiast.
