1800 Draped Bust Half Dime. LM-1, V-1. Rarity-3. VF-35 (PCGS). Lightly toned with a silver-gray sheen, there is much to recommend this coin to the mid-grade type collector. Chief among the positive attributes are a generally bold strike and lack of singularly distracting abrasions.<br /> The Large Eagle variant of the Draped Bust Half Dime was introduced in 1800 and continued in use only through 1805. After its passing the United States Mint struck no Half Dimes of any type until the commencement of the Capped Bust series in 1829.
