Lot Description
1844-O H10C AU53 NGC. V-1, Large O. One of the key coins to the Seated half dime series, and a very difficult issue to find in high grades. The surfaces are very attractive with deep steel gray in the fields which offsets the much lighter silver devices. Identifiable by a tiny nick on Liberty's right wrist near the shield, and on the reverse by a small nick which crosses the left upright and left diagonal of the M in AMERICA. Great eye appeal and fairly well struck for this issue, with minimal softness on the left side of the wreath. Ex: Jack Beymer privately (11/84). From The William A. Harmon Collection of United States Half Dimes.
