1862 Seated Liberty Half Dime. MS-67 (NGC). Attractive sea-green and gold toning baths the obverse and reverse. Lustrous fields and reasonably sharp for this date. Both dies show clashing evidence in the fields, on the reverse between the upper wreath ends. One of the finest graded of the year, and a splendid example for the specialist. A minor nick is found on the upper obverse rim near the point of the cap, which touches the high wire edge imparted by the dies.
