Lot Description
1895 10C MS67 PCGS. From a mintage of 690,000 business strikes, the 1895 is considered the rarest P-mint date in the series, and an overall semi-key. Rich patina greets the viewer of this moderately toned, fully original Barber Dime. A meticulously struck and satiny Superb Gem with beautifully preserved fields and a gorgeously undisturbed portrait. The obverse exhibits a dove-gray hue at the center, this being intermixed with mint-green and reddish-gold color. The reverse is somewhat deeper in tone with a variegated mixture of crimson-red and jade-green. A Superb representative of this scarce issue, which has the lowest Philadelphia mint production of the type. Population: 2 in 67 at both services combined, none are finer (11/04).
