1908-S Barber Dime. MS-64 (PCGS). Pretty toning in champagne-pink and golden-apricot iridescence adorns both sides, the colors deepening a bit toward the borders. Fully struck and highly lustrous, only a few trivial obverse abrasions preclude an even higher grade. Writing in the 2009 book Collecting & Investing Strategies for Barber Dimes, Jeff Ambio describes the 1908-S as a median rarity among S-mint issues that is more challenging to locate in Mint State than the 1900-S, 1906-S, 1911-S, 1912-S, 1913-S, 1914-S and 1916-S.
