Lot Description
1921 25C MS66 Full Head PCGS. CAC. Quarter dollars were only coined at Philadelphia during the year 1921, and today they are elusive in all grades, especially in Gem and higher levels of preservation. This piece is one of the finest existing examples from a mintage that approached 2 million coins. The surfaces are highly lustrous, and exhibit minuscule speckles of nearly imperceptible gold-tan color. All of the design features on both sides are sharply detailed, including full head and shield definition. Only five percent of this date are struck with Full Heads, according to J.H. Cline (2007). Population: 19 in 66, 1 finer (10/08). From The Scott Rudolph Collection. See: Video Lot Description
