Exceptional toning can be found on the obverse and reverse of this 1829 half dollar, with aqua, teal, russet and crimson flashing over the lustrous fields and from within the devices. The surfaces exhibit minimal signs of handling and the strike is average, with a few areas of trace softness on a couple of curls and tips of the eagle's feathers. Condition Census quality for the variety, likely tied as second or third finest reported, assuming the various Mint State-63 coins could be gathered and compared. Both the A's in AMERICA are filled, as virtually always seen on this die pairing.
