1833 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-101. Rarity-1. MS-65 (NGC). Glorious toning of teal-blue around the rims fading to lighter rose-gold right to the centers of the obverse and reverse. The strike is a trifle soft on the stars and wing, common to this series--but the surfaces are satin smooth and virtually free of contact marks. Bust Half Dollars with such splendid toning and incredible surfaces are truly rare and represent some of the most blue-chip American coins for collectors to pursue.
