Lot Description
1915 50C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Only 138,000 Barber half dollars were coined in Philadelphia during the year, and survivors are scarce or rare in all grades, especially Gem or finer. Dale Friend's coin is equal to both the Hugon and Price coins, and finer than the Pryor specimen. Louis Eliasberg had a proof. The fields are fully lustrous with satiny surfaces and light silver luster around frosty devices. It is almost prooflike in appearance and presents excellent contrast. Population: 17 in 65, 1 finer (10/08). From The Dale Friend #2 All-Time PCGS Registry Set of Barber Half Dollars.
