Lot Description
1920-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-63 (PCGS). OGH. An underrated condition rarity in the early Walking Liberty half dollar series, the 1920-D (1.5 million pieces produced) is even rarer in Mint State than the lower mintage 1917-S Obverse Mintmark, 1919 and 1921. In fact, only the key date 1919-D, 1919-S, 1921-D and 1921-S are rarer than this issue in Mint State. This minimally abraded piece is a bit subdued beneath warm, even, golden-apricot patina. Rather well struck from the dies, even despite a touch of softness to the highpoints.
