Lot Description
1920-D 50C MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1920-D Walking Liberty half dollar is not an issue that comes to the forefront when one ponders the rarest dates in the set, but it is nonetheless among the few rarest, a fact not widely appreciated outside of series specialists. In Gem condition it is the fifth-rarest out of the 65 coins that constitute the series. Soft luster complements surfaces that still present as largely untoned, despite the slight presence of golden and pinkish hues. This is a well-struck coin overall, showing a partial split thumb as well as decent detail on Liberty's head. This Gem should become a prized member of a fine Walking Liberty half set. Population: 43 in 65, 6 finer (1/13).
