After only the 1921-D, the 1921 boast the lowest mintage (246,000 pieces) in the Walking Liberty Half Dollar series. A mere 325-450 coins are believed extant in Mint State (per Jeff Ambio, Collecting & Investing Strategies for Walking Liberty Half Dollars, 2008), which is obviously a very limited total for a popular 20th century series attributed to the United States Mint. The present example is an attractive BU survivor that offers suitably vibrant luster to lightly toned, iridescent-gold surfaces. Sharply struck and otherwise quite smooth, a wispy abrasion near the right-reverse border is mentioned solely for accuracy.
