Lot Description
1921 50C MS65 PCGS. The rarity of many of the small-denomination silver coins, in particular, can be blamed on the enormous mintages of Morgan and Peace silver dollars that were dictated under the terms of the Pittman Act of 1918. The 1921-PDS Walking Liberty halves are all low-mintage productions, as the Philadelphia Mint simply had little time to produce dies for other denominations. This Gem is mostly brilliant, accented by glints of golden-gray patina in the centers. The strike is sharp, with a split thumb on Liberty and ample detail on Liberty's face and the skirt lines. Population: 52 in 65, 4 finer (11/11).
