Lot Description
1921-D 50C MS63 PCGS. CAC. The 1921-D half dollar is the lowest-mintage series issue at 208,000 pieces, and conditionally among the most rare in Mint State, save for the 1921-S, 1919-D, and 1919-S. But even a Select Mint State 1921-D is the subject of hot pursuit among series specialists. Frosty luster covers silver-white surfaces with gold accents on this attractive example, which shows some detail on the branch hand and more on Liberty's head, with weakness confined chiefly to the lower leg feathers on the eagle. A couple of small dark flecks are not overt. From The Fred Yee Collection.
