Boldly lustrous and satiny smooth with a hint of pale golden toning here and there. The strike is about typical for the date with only partial hand details at the obverse center; this date seldom comes boldly struck. A pleasing example from the only mint to produce the denomination in 1928 -- the coinage presses for half dollars were silent in Philadelphia and Denver that year, except for the 1928 Hawaiian commemorative half dollar.
