Lot Description
1929-D 50C MS65 NGC. CAC. Even though only 1 million half dollars were struck in Denver in 1929, there was little need for them in the channels of commerce. As a result, a fair number have been preserved in relatively high grades. This is a strongly struck example whose strike is comparable to some issues from the 1940s. The mint luster is bright and satiny, and each side has a slight accent of golden toning around the rims. Census: 79 in 65 (2 in 65+), 16 finer (1/13).
