Lot Description
1934-D 50C MS67 PCGS. In his The Complete Guide to Walking Liberty Half Dollars, Fox states that finding a fully struck '34-D with minimum abrasions is a difficult task. The present example, while not fully struck, still exhibits sharp detail in most areas, including Liberty's head, thumb, and skirt lines. Lustrous surfaces display speckled olive-russet, pale green and gold color, and are devoid of any mentionable marks. This lovely Superb Gem, one of only three MS67s certified by NGC and PCGS combined, and one of the two at PCGS, inhabits a first-generation holder. Population: 2 in 67, 0 finer (7/06).
