Lot Description
1936-S 50C MS67 PCGS. Save for the slight difference in size between the two denominations, this remarkable 1936-S Walking Liberty half is so well-struck, well-preserved, and thickly frosted that it could almost pass as a modern-issue "circulation strike" American Silver Eagle bullion coin, which bears a similar obverse design. The skirt lines are absolutely full, and to mention any marks would be to overemphasize them. Thick mint frost covers the devices, and generous mint luster blooms from each side. The surfaces are nearly untoned save for a hint of gold at the lower reverse rim. An excellent example of this later S-mint series issue. Population: 7 in 67, 0 finer (3/13).
