Plenty of design detail remains evident, on each side of this lovely 1795 BB-27 silver dollar. The obverse exhibits rose-gray toning in the fields and centers, while the peripheries show iridescent hues of electric-blue and yellow-gold. The reverse displays a steel-gray surface with subtle elements of ice-blue and speckled olive-green. This is an example of the Three Leaves reverse, where a trio of leaves reside under each wing of the eagle. Always seen with strong feathers on the eagle, and despite limited wear, this feature adds to the appeal. Always in demand by type, date and variety collectors.
