This first year Draped Bust dollar would make a lovely addition to a circulated type set. It is a lightly and evenly worn piece that retains ample sharpness of detail from a well centered and otherwise well executed strike. Fairly vibrant in appearance, and also quite lustrous for the grade, a satin to semi reflective finish shines forth powerfully as the surfaces dip into a light. Untoned apart from blushes of pretty rose-gray and pinkish-apricot iridescence scattered about the peripheries.

Numismatic Reflections by Q. David Bowers
A nice example of the second of two Draped Bust die varieties this year, together representing the first appearance of this motif on American circulating coinage.
