1797 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-71, B-3. Rarity-2. Bowers Die State III. Stars 10x6. EF-40 (PCGS). A scarce, conditionally challenging type, the Small Eagle Draped Bust Silver Dollar of 1795-1798 is always in demand among advanced collectors. The 1797 Stars 10x6 example that we offer here is a very attractive EF with dominant pinkish-silver patina to both sides. The toning is fairly light, although we do note somewhat bolder tannish-olive highlights here and there at the borders. Plenty of bold definition remains from a well-executed strike, and time spent in circulation has also not imparted more than a few notable abrasions. Sure to have no difficulty finding its way into a high-grade circulated type set.
