Lot Description
1797 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-3, BB-71. Rarity-2. BB Die State III. Stars 10x6. AU-53 (PCGS). Exceptional eye appeal and surface quality for an early silver dollar as these coins rarely retain any luster as they have been highly collectible for over two hundred years. The surfaces are satiny silver with a blush of light gold just starting to form. Die clashing is evident and the strike is typical for this die pairing. The Small Eagle reverse style is quite difficult to find this well preserved and collectors have to wait to find an example with this much definition and eye appeal. Free of any signs of adjustment marks or surface problems, and certain to delight the specialist.
