Lot Description
1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-12a, BB-160. Rarity-3. BB Die State III. AU-53 (PCGS). OGH. This attractive coin has many positive features, including virtually full hair definition on Liberty right onto her uppermost curls near her temple. Furthermore the dominate toning color is russet-gold which spans both sides, along with a dash of teal-blue at the rims. Usual later die state commonly encountered for this variety, with fine cracks present on the obverse. The surfaces are pleasing as well, despite a few shallow scuffs and scrapes, there are no adjustment marks or heavy nicks that warrant any attention. Scarce this well preserved and conservatively graded.
