Brilliant with a silver-white sheen, this lightly circulated survivor reveals flickers of original satiny mint bloom as the surfaces dip into a light. Softness of strike is noted for the central highpoints, although it does sharpen toward the borders, and there is only minimal wear to report in keeping with the assigned grade. There are no individually distracting abrasions, and a small, shallow indentation at the upper-reverse border appears to be an as-struck planchet flaw. This is one of the more plentiful die marriages of the 1800-dated Silver Dollar issue, and examples have long been popular for type purposes.
