This is the scarcest die marriage of the 1801 Draped Bust Dollar, and it is most easily attributable by looking for a tiny spur (as struck) on the outside curve of the letter D in UNITED. Generally silver-gray in tone, both sides do reveal outlines of bolder steel-russet iridescence to many of the peripheral devices. Some modest "flash" in the fields is also discernible at more direct angles. Overall boldly defined, with no abrasions that we deem worthy of individual attention.
