Lot Description
1803 $1 Large 3 AU50 NGC. B-6, BB-255, R.2. B-6 was likely the final Heraldic Eagle dollar struck for circulation, and constituted the 1804 delivery that three decades later caused the Mint to make 1804 dollars. The present ocean-blue and straw-gold representative shows only light wear on Liberty's cheek and is free from obtrusive abrasions. One small strike-through noted left of the eagle's right (facing) leg. NGC BB-255 Census: 9 in 50, 14 finer (2/13). From The William Jacob Collection, Part II.
