1846-O Seated Liberty Silver Dollar. AU-58 (PCGS). Conditionally scarce for an example of the United States' first mintmarked Silver Dollar issue, this '46-O Seated displays far less wear that the typically offered survivor from a mintage of 59,000 pieces. There is actually none but the lightest rub in evidence, although some of the peripheral devices on the obverse display the characteristic softness of strike for the issue. More boldly defined elsewhere, with dominant pinkish-silver tinting to both sides. Direct angles call forth more vivid golden-blue rim highlights that further enhance already strong eye appeal.
