Lot Description
1848 Seated Liberty Silver Dollar. AU-58 (PCGS). CAC. OGH. A handsomely toned, richly original piece with subtle olive-orange and powder-blue highlights to a base of lavender-gray patina. There are no individually distracting abrasions, and even a faint planchet streak (as made) that partially bisects the lower-right reverse is rather well concealed by the toning. A popular and scarce No Motto Seated Dollar issue from the 1840s, the 1848 has a limited mintage of just 15,000 pieces.
