An unusual occurrence in today's numismatic marketplace, an 1859-O silver dollar that isn't one of the fully brilliant examples from the Treasury releases of the early 1960s. Deep steel gray surfaces exhibit robust electric blue and rose iridescence, especially under a bright light source. Somewhat prooflike on the reverse. The devices are sharp and the surfaces are free from marks that draw the viewer's attention. A pleasing example overall.
