Lot Description
1884-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-61 (PCGS). A legendary condition rarity in any Mint State grade. To date PCGS records a maximum of 245 grading events at the Mint State level for this date, out of all the Morgan dollars, that's a dismal sum indeed and collectors have to fight over the few that have been certified at this level. Toned with a hint of russet over reflective fields with the devices more frosty. Scattered light nicks and scuffs blend well into the surfaces, keeping the eye appeal high and the free of circulation status apparent when examined. It is unknown why the vast majority of survivors show some degree of circulation, but given the iron fist of reality in the Population Report this fact cannot be denied. Certain to delight one collector that captures this elusive rarity.
