This fully brilliant, highly lustrous, and boldly struck Gem exhibits lively cartwheel activity and a whisper of faint champagne-gold iridescence. Just 378,000 examples of the date were struck, the third lowest Philadelphia Mint output in the series after the 1894 and 1899 issues. (The 1899, while of a lower mintage, was held back in bag quantities and exists in Mint State in just about any grade a collector could desire -- such is not the case with the 1893.) Absolutely choice for the grade.
