Lot Description
1903-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-65+ (PCGS). CAC. Fully brilliant and lustrous with no signs of toning on this condition rarity, and thus perfectly suited to the majority of Morgan dollar collections--especially if the Gem grade is desired. The strike is sharp on all devices, and the surfaces are outstanding with scarcely any bagmarks or scuffs. This is the large S variety of the year, which is more commonly seen than the small S issue. Although the mintage of 1,241,000 pieces would seem to make this date and mint plentiful in most grades, mint state coins are quite difficult to come by, with the vast majority of those seen today are in circulated grades. Gems are quite rare indeed, and this "+" grade Gem is worthy of the finest Morgan dollar collection and a prize for the connoisseur.
