1904-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-64 (PCGS). Due to small groups of semi-key dates that have come to light over the decades, a coin like the 1904-S is obtainable in pleasing, near gem condition, as here. The present coin is rather sharply struck and boasts great luster and light toning on both sides. The surfaces are essentially free of bagmarks, exhibiting only a very few minor marks that are outside of the focal points of the surfaces. The relative freedom from major marks seen in MS-64 Morgan Dollars is what makes them a great value over MS-65 or better specimens that will often cost multiples of the price of an often comparatively pleasing MS-64.
