Lot Description
1904-S $1 MS65+ PCGS. The 1904-S was meant to be the end of the San Francisco silver dollar issues, but the denomination's revival -- plus the delay in readying the Peace dollar design -- removed it from not only the post of last S-mint silver dollar but that of the final S-mint Morgan as well. This MS65+ representative is important because any coin numerically finer is a clear condition rarity. This piece has faint blue overtones on medium-silver surfaces and generous all-around eye appeal. Only a few small marks scattered through the fields preclude full Premium Gem status. PCGS has graded only 11 examples as MS66 or better (1/14).
