Lot Description
1868 $3 MS61 NGC. The surfaces are primarily orange-gold, but glints of lilac appear in the protected interstices, for example the recesses around LIBERTY and within the 3 on the reverse. Scattered extensive marks are small but numerous, accounting for the grade. The mintage was 4,850 circulation strikes. Census: 45 in 61, 35 finer (3/13).
