Lot Description
1888 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. AU-55 (NGC). An ever-popular issue among advanced gold collectors, the 1888 Three has a limited mintage of just 5,000 business strikes. This minimally worn survivor retains overall bold definition and partial mint luster to both sides. Pale-rose highlights are also noted, but the overall appearance is one of deeper olive-orange patina. We see no abrasions of note for a lightly circulated gold coin.
