Lot Description
1843-O Liberty Eagle. Winter Variety Two. AU-58 (NGC). A sharply struck survivor with only trivial rub and light scuffiness precluding a Mint State rating. Even medium-gold color, with only a few abrasions that we deem singularly distracting. The 1843-O eagle (175,162 pieces produced) is much rarer than the 1847-O in AU-55 and higher grades; it compares favorably in condition rarity to the 1845-O and 1848-O.
