This is a sharply struck and lustrous issue when encountered in the finest Mint State grades, and the present Gem certainly does not disappoint in either regard. The devices are intricately detailed, in fact, and the surfaces are bathed in softly frosted luster with just a trace of the light granularity (as made) so often seen in 1910-D Indian eagles. Uncommonly smooth for both the issue and the type, and important for high grade mintmarked gold type purposes, as such. The 1910-D is the most frequently encountered branch mint Indian eagle in Mint State, although it is far rarer in an absolute sense than the 1926 and 1932.
