This condition rarity shows considerable mint luster and incredible quality for the date. Struck in the usual bright yellow-gold with a few traces of peach-gold luster interwoven in the mint frost. The strike is sharp and there are no handling marks or scuffs. While the mintage was just over 1,000,000 pieces for the year, less than ten percent of those survive today. The balance of the issue was melted in the 1930s after the political winds changed. An exceptional example of this plentiful date, rated at highest grade save one by NGC, with precious few seen at this lofty level.
