Lot Description
1865 Indian Cent. Plain 5--Broadstruck--MS-66 RB (NGC). Apart from a broad, distended border on both sides, the error has not affected the striking quality of this original Gem. Sharply defined in and around the centers, with mottled lilac-brown iridescence to otherwise light-orange surfaces. Exceptional surface preservation, there are no detracting abrasions of other blemishes. Among the finest known for a broadstruck Indian cent of any date, and a very important bidding opportunity for advanced Indian cent and/or Mint error specialist.
