Lot Description
1936-D 50C Cincinnati MS67 NGC. The golden anniversary of Cincinnati, Ohio, as a music center in America, features a likeness of Stephen Foster on the obverse. Foster was born in Pennsylvania on July 4, 1826, and died in New York City in 1864. He resided in Cincinnati for only a few short years from 1846 to 1850, but that was enough for the city to adopt him as "America's Troubadour." This Superb Gem has satiny silver luster with fully brilliant, untoned surfaces, and virtually no marks of any kind. Census: 27 in 67, 0 finer (10/11).
