Lot Description
1892 50C Columbian MS67+ PCGS. CAC. Ex: Bruce Scher. As might be expected from the pedigree (not to mention the grade and CAC approval), this 1892 Columbian half dollar is a coin of remarkable quality and immense eye appeal. The centers show some pale silver-gray intermingled with pastel pinkish tones, the whole surrounded by bands of medium sky-blue and pale jade, with accents of saffron and rose at the extreme rims. Even a loupe reveals marks to be trivial to nonexistent, and the strike is uniformly needle-sharp throughout both sides. The incredible patina, however, is this coin's calling card, a coin that will not soon be forgotten. Population: 16 in 67 (4 in 67+), 0 finer (6/13).
